2004-2011 RX-8 Front Sway Bar Tubular

Racing Beat-designed sway bars reduce chassis roll during cornering and increases your car’s sensitivity to steering inputs, thereby improving maximum cornering power. Personally designed and integrated by Racing Beat’s legendary co-founder Jim Mederer, these RX-8 sway bars were tested extensively in real world applications in Racing Beat’s local So Cal mountains prior to their introduction. Weekend after weekend Jim would make his mad-dash up and down these mountains as he escaped to the solidarity of his mountain home. To take a ride with Jim up the mountain was a death-grip experience as he blasted his way around the bends at near race speeds. Only when he was satisfied with the balance and grip of the suspension set-up would he allow production to begin. The RX-8 bars offered today are the final results of his real world testing…enjoy!

Specifications
– The diameter of the Racing Beat front tubular RX-8 bar is 1.25″ (32mm) x .1875″ wall thickness, as compared to the stock 1.05″ (27mm) x .134″ wall thickness front bar.
– This RX-8 Tubular sway bar utilizes a one-hole attachment point on either end.
– An additional feature of the front bar is a pair of OEM style “stoppers” to prevent the bar from sliding sideways in the bar bushings during heavy cornering effort.
– Each bar is supplied with replacement urethane bushings, bar clamps, Prothane grease and installation instructions.

Testing
During test sessions using a Racelogic VBox GPS data acquisition system, Racing Beat recorded noticeable handling improvements after the installation of the Racing Beat sway bar set. Using the stock wheel/tire/ combination on their 2004 RX-8, they recorded the following cornering forces:

Stock Bars: .86-.87g
RB Bars: .89-.90g
