This is the “early” type of corner seal for 3mm seals – it does not use the rubber insert.

We have, on numerous occasions, seen premature and excessive side housing wear when customers used aftermarket (meaning NOT OEM Mazda) corner seals. On all the engines we have built over all the decades that we assembled engines, we used nothing but OEM corner seals.
Ask yourself if the relatively small amount of money you might save is worth doing severe wear on your side housings from the instant you start your engine.
