  They DO fail!!
  They are vacuum actuated one-way valves and easy to check.
  Simply suck on the small, or the female threaded end – should allow a small amount of air to pass.
  Blowing through NOT allow any air to pass.
  Failure will make the rotor housings wear out WAY too soon.

  We have found this hose to work well for the 84-08 fuel injected cars. (Do NOT use on 09-11 S2 RX8)
  The OEM oil metering hoses have banjo fittings on each end. You need to carefully remove the OEM hose and clamp from each banjo fitting. This hose can then be routed and cut to whatever length you need. The ends can be held to the fittings with small zipties or safety wire.
