Weber Shaft Lever, With Stop Pin Left.
14ga steel
We have these “stops” made for us so the throttle STOP is on the same side of the carb as the throttle PULL. Adjusted correctly this prevents the throttle shaft from being bent when full throttle is applied.
This is our latest design that “includes” the washer that covers the shaft bearing. This also allows more thread engagement of the nut onto the throttle shaft as you no longer use the original bearing cover washer. All descriptions refer to a front mounted rotary engine in a rear wheel drive car.
There are two types of manifold for downdraft IDAs: fuel inlet on engine side with throttle cable pulling from above the throttle shaft, and fuel inlet on the fender side, with the throttle cable pulling from below the throttle shaft. The manifold determines the carb orientation. It is best to have the cable pull, the idle speed screw, throttle stop, and return spring all on the same end of the carb. If this is not done, you will twist the throttle shaft, which can lead to various poor running conditions.
