OIL PAN 13B, 84-85 CALIFORNIA W/OUT SUBZERO START ASSIST
This is the oil pan we use in MANY different engine / chassis combos.
This will fit about any 13B if you are using a front cover from 1985 or older – 12A or 13B. (1984-85 GSLSE front cover has a different oil metering pump mount than what the 12A uses). A 12A or ’84-85 13B GSLSE pickup tube needs to be used.
For instance – we have used this pan for a custom installation of an FD 13B into an RX8 using a 12A front cover!

OIL PAN BAFFLE, 13B 74-85
Oil Pan Baffle, 13B 74-85
The Racing Beat-designed and manufactured Oil Baffle Plate slows the return of engine oil as it drains from the engine into the pan. In slowing the oil’s return, air that has been suspended in the oil (as foam) is allowed more time to separate from the oil.
Removing this trapped air both improves the ability of the oil to transfer heat and reduces pressure drops at high RPM. The plate is sandwiched between the engine and the oil pan. It is recommended that two oil pan gaskets be used, one below and one above the plate, to provide proper sealing.
