Shipping TO Mazdatrix -PLEASE – Read all of this.
Assume anything shipped to us will get the crap beat out of it / them by whatever shipper you use.
YOU MUST insure for the replacement cost. Good luck collecting from the Post Office. We have NEVER collected a dime! The “hoops” they make you jump through are astounding.
We have had to call customers too many times, especially for balance jobs shipped in, that due to poor packing by the customer, parts are damaged or destroyed.
We REALLY do NOT like to make those calls.
Metal-on-metal causes damage!!!!! Rotors bouncing on each other, on the eccentric, on ANYTHING will damage them.
ANYTHING contacting a housing or rotor WILL CAUSE DAMAGE.
WE can not file a damage claim — it is up to YOU, the shipper. All we can do is notify you and hold the package for inspection.
Do not EVER let a UPS / Post Office / Office Depot etc. pack your box(es). They will just throw them in a crappy box, often with NO packing, and ship them – they are done!
We have had many customers construct beautiful plywood / wood boxes with really good partitions WITH great packing in / around each in each compartment.
Not absolutley neccessary but we do really like to see care spent in packing.
We have found those “pelican” type black plastic boxes from Amazon to work great for rotors. About 10 x 12 x 5.5. Apache 2800 from Amazon work fine.
Cut the inside foam to fit around the rotor. UPS charges for a “non- standard” (meaning NOT cardboard) box. So we put those plastic boxes IN a cardboard box with packing around it. Bigger ones can be used for eccentrics, pulleys, etc.
