Pilot Bearing Remover Tool

To remove the old pilot bearing the bearing MUST be gripped at its front end. Very few of the aftermarket pullers we tested were able to do this correctly. They often tended to destroy the bearing making removal even harder. 

To use the tool simply insert the attachment into the bearing, being sure to get it to the end of the bearing, insert the tapered / threaded end of the slap hammer part and screw them together until the bearing is firmly gripped. Then just “slap hammer” it out. Should take less than a minute. 

This tool prevents eccentric shaft damage when removing bearing.
This tool does fit other cars including Miata. We do not have a list of cars that it will work on. The RX pilot bearing/input shaft measures .588″. If your application also has a .588 shaft/bearing, this tool will work.
