Our tool makes pulling the dowels out of the rotor / side housings easy, and with the other attachment getting that pilot bearing out is quite easy. 

To remove the old pilot bearing the bearing MUST be gripped at its front end. Very few of the aftermarket pullers we tested were able to do this correctly. They often tended to destroy the bearing making removal even harder. 

To use the tool simply insert the attachment into the bearing, being sure to get it to the end of the bearing, insert the tapered / threaded end of the slap hammer part and screw them together until the bearing is firmly gripped. Then just “slap hammer” it out. Should take less than a minute. 

(We have seen eccentric shafts severely damaged by botched attempts to remove the bearing without the correct tool).
