Counterweight Puller
The Automatic Transmission Counter Balance Weight Puller Tool will remove any automatic transmission balance weight from its taper press fit on the eccentric shaft once the flywheel nut is loosened. This is the same balance weight used with all our lightweight flywheels. (Photo is shown with a Mazda counterweight, which is not included with this tool.)

3/4″ adapter to use 1/2″ drive. The flywheel nut is put on with over 300 foot-pounds of torque and this adapter CAN BREAK! BE CAREFUL!! (sorry – there is no warranty on it). Better to get a hold of a 3/4″ breaker bar that has a warranty from somebody.
(Just to let you know kind of worst case – We have had a few where we needed to use our 1″, 1200 foot pound, impact gun with our 1″ drive impact 54mm socket!)

Having the correct tool always makes the job seem easy, right? Although you probably won’t be using this tool much, it will certainly pay for itself even if you only use it once! The Flywheel Nut Wrench tool is used to remove or install the 54mm (2.125″) flywheel retaining nut. During re-assembly, this tool will allow you to accurately re-torque the nut to the required 350 foot-pounds This tool can be used with the engine in or out of the chassis.
