These Power Pulse Mufflers for the RX-7 have been installed on 1000’s of RX-7’s over the years, and their popularity continues strong today! Each muffler canister is manufactured using 304- stainless steel and features a 2.375″ OD inlet tube diameter and a straight-through design for maximum performance gains. Finished with a 3″ OD polished 304 stainless steel tip, these mufflers sound as good as they look! This bolt-on muffler is easily installed and comes complete with a mounting gasket, and can be ordered separately or with the Right Muffler. This muffler will bolt directly to the stock Y-pipe or the Racing Beat Y-pipe.
This beautiful muffler is constructed with a 304 stainless steel shell, polished to a mirror-like finish; a completely stainless steel internal assembly; and layers of durable stainless steel and ceramic wools. The choice of 304 stainless steel offers reduced weight and increases corrosion resistance in harsh operating environments. To sum it up, we can comfortably state that this muffler canister is one of the best looking RX-7 canisters we have seen on today’s market, with the performance to back up the looks!
Replacement Rubber RX-7 Exhaust Hangers
We recommend the replacement of the original rubber RX-7 exhaust hangers during the installation of any new exhaust component. It is our experience that over time the original rubber hangers can deteriorate, crack, and fail; which can result in the incorrect alignment of the exhaust system.

The REV TII High Performance RX-7 Exhaust is legendary with FC3S owners. This RX-7 exhaust system includes a 3-inch OD REV TII Down Pipe from the turbo outlet that mates to a REV TII Presilencer section. The outlet of the presilencer connects to the inlet of the REV TII Y-Pipe which routes the exhaust gases down two 2.375-inch OD (60mm) pipes into a pair of left and right REV TII Power Pulse Mufflers. Once installed, this bolt-on exhaust system increases horsepower approximately 32% – that’s a 59 HP increase on a 1987 Turbo II RX-7!
The REV TII High Performance RX-7 Exhaust system reduces exhaust gas back-pressure significantly, thereby allowing the un-assisted turbo boost pressure to increase to 10-11 psi. (Note: A fuel cut controller device is required to prevent fuel cutoff to the rear rotor above the factory pre-set limit.)
This bolt-on system uses the stock mounting points for ease of installation. Each system is supplied with all necessary mounting hardware and gaskets. (The kit does not include turbo outlet gasket, if needed it can be ordered separately.) The down pipe section is provided with a position for the oxygen sensor.

This Racing Beat RX-7 Header is designed for a bolt-on installation, when used with the appropriate Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer in all 1981-83 RX-7s. The combination of this RX-7 header and the appropriate presilencer replaces the stock exhaust manifold and all catalytic converters for use on racing applications, along with any intermediate pieces of tubing.
The Racing Beat RX-7 header assembly is constructed with .120-inch wall, mandrel-bend, mild steel tubing for increased durability. The engine-to-header flange is laser-cut from 1/2-inch thick steel plate to ensure positive gas sealing. An outlet gasket is included. An engine-to-header gasket is available separately if needed.

The Racing Beat Power Pulse Presilencer for the 1971-78 & 81-83 RX-7 is designed to be used with our wide selection of RX-7 Streetable Headers to complete a bolt-on configuration. These Power Pulse Presilencers are ideal for those individuals wanting to fabricate custom exhaust systems incorporating either long or short primary exhaust systems.
The Power Pulse Presilencer improves the character of the exhaust noise, dramatically reducing the inherent, obnoxious metallic high frequency noise with virtually no power loss. Constructed with a high temperature, 2-inch I.D. perforated core of 304 stainless steel wrapped with high-temperature stainless steel wool, the Power Pulse Presilencer measures 20 inches in length with a 4-inch outside diameter. The mounting studs are 12mm both front and rear.
