This is the freeze plug we use to close the OEM water passage from the rotor housing into the intake manifold — when you do do not want to use it.
It measures about 20.5 mm in diameter and the hole in the rotor housing (if it is machined – not all of them are) is about 19.5 mm.
We use some epoxy or silicone around it — we do not want it to leak and we we never plan on taking it out.
We have also tapped the hole and used something around a 1/2″ pipe plug.

    JB WELD is a two-part epoxy for repairing, or building up metal. We use it in many different places – for filling ports when building peripheral engines, building up runners inside intake manifolds, backfilling behind ports when we know we will break through to the water jacket, filling EGR passages in center housings, etc. It is an extremely versatile material that adheres great to just about anything solid. It is very easy to sand or grind after it hardens, and can easily be built up in layers. Remains pliable for about 20 minutes after mixed (but can flow where you don’t want it for a few hours), requires overnight to harden. The best “tool” we have found for applying it is popsicle sticks. Each box contains two 5 oz tubes – one of the JB material, and one of hardener.

    Astounding number of uses. We use it to fill the intake ports when prepping side housings for  peripheral intake engines. as well as many other places. 2-part epoxy.
