Racing Beat’s Road Race Header is the first step in building a serious racing exhaust system. The engine-to-pipe flange is laser cut from 7/16″ thick flat steel. Like all of the headers they manufacture, the Road Racing Header is constructed with 2″ OD mild steel tubing, .125″ wall thickness, and mandrel-bent tubing throughout.

Outlet flange gaskets, bolts, and nuts are included. An engine-to-header gasket is not included, but is available separately. An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate (1979-80 or 1981-92) is required when using this header with a stock intake system. The Road Race Header can also be used as the basis for a custom streetable exhaust system in any car from 1971-92 which allows simple swapping between street and race exhaust systems.

These headers can used as a bolt-on component with the Street Port Center Section Pipe (1979-85 12A & 13B – except GSL-SE) or (1984-85 GSL-SE) that we offer for these model years.

    This Down Pipe is available for custom applications in a 1986-91 RX-7 (excluding convertible) non-turbo application. This 2.5-inch down pipe fits either manual or automatic transmission equipped cars and eliminates the catalytic converter sections.

    This down pipe bolts to the stock exhaust manifold, but the use of our presilencer (or a suitable replacement) is required to connect this assembly to the Y-pipe section. If you need to retain a catalytic converter in your exhaust system, you may find a suitable unit offered in the aftermarket. Although the replacement of your stock catalytic converters with a single aftermarket unit is technically NOT legal, this approach may suit your emissions needs. We suggest you contact your local emissions testing facility for more information. Gaskets sold separately.
