Racing Beat offers the complete Full Stainless Steel Road Race RX-7 Exhaust System for the 1986-88 RX-7. This completely Stainless Steel RX-7 exhaust system is intended for use on RX-7 applications running under the extremes of road racing, drag racing, or any high performance, high RPM application. The Racing Beat Full Stainless Steel RX-7 dual exhaust system has been designed to maximize the exhaust gas scavenging benefits while maintaining reasonable sound level outputs.
NOTE: This exhaust system is not compatible with automatic transmission equipped-vehicles due to interference issues with the bell housing.

1986-88 RX-7 Road Race Header
The Racing Beat Road Race Header for the 1986-88 13B 6-Port chassis features stainless steel construction for excellent durability. Also incorporated with this header is the requisite exhaust back-pressure pickup tube, necessary to assure the correct operation of the 6-port intake actuators mounted on the engine. (If you have removed these intake actuators or have rendered them inoperable, you can install the 1989-92 Road Race system instead.)Road Race Presilencer
Mating to the outlet of the header is the Racing Beat Road Race Presilencer. The straight-through dual presilencer unit offers beneficial sound reducing qualities by trapping a significant level of the harsh rotary exhaust note.Road Race Y-Pipe
The Racing Beat Y-Pipe section routes the exhaust gases exiting the presilencer section to each of the Power Pulse muffler units.Road Race Mufflers (Left and Right Pair)

The REV TII High Performance RX-7 Exhaust is legendary with FC3S owners. This RX-7 exhaust system includes a 3-inch OD REV TII Down Pipe from the turbo outlet that mates to a REV TII Presilencer section. The outlet of the presilencer connects to the inlet of the REV TII Y-Pipe which routes the exhaust gases down two 2.375-inch OD (60mm) pipes into a pair of left and right REV TII Power Pulse Mufflers. Once installed, this bolt-on exhaust system increases horsepower approximately 32% – that’s a 59 HP increase on a 1987 Turbo II RX-7!
The REV TII High Performance RX-7 Exhaust system reduces exhaust gas back-pressure significantly, thereby allowing the un-assisted turbo boost pressure to increase to 10-11 psi. (Note: A fuel cut controller device is required to prevent fuel cutoff to the rear rotor above the factory pre-set limit.)
This bolt-on system uses the stock mounting points for ease of installation. Each system is supplied with all necessary mounting hardware and gaskets. (The kit does not include turbo outlet gasket, if needed it can be ordered separately.) The down pipe section is provided with a position for the oxygen sensor.

Exhaust Down Pipe 86-92 Non-Turbo Coupes 2 1/2″
This Down Pipe is available for custom applications in a 1986-91 RX-7 (excluding convertible) non-turbo application. This 2.5-inch down pipe fits either manual or automatic transmission equipped cars and eliminates the catalytic converter sections.
This down pipe bolts to the stock exhaust manifold, but the use of our presilencer (or a suitable replacement) is required to connect this assembly to the Y-pipe section. If you need to retain a catalytic converter in your exhaust system, you may find a suitable unit offered in the aftermarket. Although the replacement of your stock catalytic converters with a single aftermarket unit is technically NOT legal, this approach may suit your emissions needs. We suggest you contact your local emissions testing facility for more information. Gaskets sold separately.

In response to numerous requests from customers demanding a very low restriction“street capable” muffler, Racing Beat now offers the Universal Power Pulse PR-Extreme RX-7 Muffler with a 2.75″ OD internal perforated core design to meet the performance demands of high-horsepower ported rotary engines. The Power Pulse PR-Extreme RX-7 Muffler is compatible with all 1979-85 RX-7 muffler rear mounting positions and retains the factory stock appearance; this PR-Extreme RX-7 Muffler includes an inlet of 3″.
The Racing Beat Universal Power Pulse PR-Extreme RX-7 Muffler is manufactured by the same exhaust components manufacturer that has produced the “tried and proven” First Generation RX-7 Power Pulse mufflers (1979-80, 1981-82, and 1984-85) since the mid-1980s. Utilizing a heavy-walled canister shell and extremely durable heat and noise insulating materials, the Racing Beat Power Pulse PR-Extreme RX-7 Muffler is engineered for the high exhaust gas temperatures found in rotary engine applications.
The main body of the muffler canister measures 8 inches in diameter and 18 inches in length. The dual outlet tips are completely chrome-plated with straight-cut outlet.
Now may be the time to consider replacing the old rubber muffler hangers on your RX-7. New replacement hangers will ensure correct alignment of the RX-7 muffler canister and tip position in the bumper opening.
