This is the “High Power” 6-port engine for 04-08 RX8 with Manual Transmission. There is a $1000 core charge on top of the price of the engine. The price you see is assuming that your core is here. Most people choose to pay the core charge and have it reimbursed later when they send in the core engine. This way they have the new and old engines side-by-side during the swap. Please let us know how you would like to handle the core when ordering.
The images are how we receive these engines from Mazda — in a nice plastic crate which works fine for shipping them (shipping is extra — call / write us to get a quote). Mazda gives a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. We need the VIN number and the mileage of your RX8 when we order the engine.
