This NEW Mazda “Competition” Electronic Distributor has pickup coil leads to feed external igniters / ignitions. The 81-85 OEM distributors had those black igniter boxes on the side of the distributor.

We normally like to use this distributor to feed a pair of MSD 6AL’s (always need two – one for the Lead and one for the Trail). Those MSD’s then feed whatever coils you want to use.

Normal 80-85 Distributor Cap, Rotor, and Plug Wires are used. Fits all engine front covers that have the distributor hole casting.
