KAAZ Limited Slip Differential 2-Way, 89-92 Turbo
WPC Coated (recommended for street use)
The 1.5 Way LSD is ideal for road racing because under deceleration the diff does not
lock up as aggressively, allowing for more control and traction going into turns. The 2
Way LSD is ideal for drifting because under deceleration the diff does lock up, allowing
for better control when sliding. Kaaz diffs are known for their consistancy and quality.
Kaaz LSDs are considered to be far superior to stock LSDs and are widely used in racing
and drifting circuits.
Driving styles differ greatly. This is a general definition; there are certainly
instances where these definitions will cross over.
Note- If you have an 89-92 RX7, please let us know if your original diff was open or
WPC is a coating applied to the LSD to allow for less noise when turning. If you will be
using this LSD in a street car and would prefer not be noticed every time you turn, it is
recommended that you get WPC coating. However, if you do not mind a loud “banging” noise
when turning, WPC coating is not needed.
L.S.D. GEAR OIL ADDITIVE
If you get a “chatter” from the rear axle when starting from a stop, and turning at the same time, you need to add this additive to your rear end oil. This is due to the clutches in the differential locking and un-locking. The Limited Slip Additive assists with the applying and releasing of the clutch plates. One container/part number needed per rear end oil change.
For clutch type limited slips – all OEM’s through 1988. The later ones are either viscous or Torsen type and do not require additive.
