  Pilot Bearing Remover Tool

  To remove the old pilot bearing the bearing MUST be gripped at its front end. Very few of the aftermarket pullers we tested were able to do this correctly. They often tended to destroy the bearing making removal even harder. 

  To use the tool simply insert the attachment into the bearing, being sure to get it to the end of the bearing, insert the tapered / threaded end of the slap hammer part and screw them together until the bearing is firmly gripped. Then just “slap hammer” it out. Should take less than a minute. 

  This tool prevents eccentric shaft damage when removing bearing.
  This tool does fit other cars including Miata. We do not have a list of cars that it will work on. The RX pilot bearing/input shaft measures .588″. If your application also has a .588 shaft/bearing, this tool will work.

  Racing Beat Sport/Strip Heavy Duty Clutch Disc, 86-95 Turbo

  Proven to be one of our most popular performance replacement clutch discs, the Sport/Strip Heavy Duty 240mm Clutch Disc for the 1987-95 RX-7 TURBO chassis utilizes flattened marcel springs to reduce flexing, and two rivets per marcel to increase lining strength. The result is a disc that requires a bit more technique when starting, and releases quicker. This disc is suited for high output street engines and works with the stock pressure plate.

  Time Saving Tip: We strongly recommend replacing the throw-out bearing during any clutch work to ensure trouble free performance. Also, we recommend replacing the transmission front and rear seal kit when re-installing the transmission to reduce the possibility of leakage.

  WARNING: None of the Flywheel or Clutch components shown in this catalog should ever be allowed to exceed 10,500 RPM under any condition. This same RPM limit applies to stock components. You must use an engine RPM-limiter to prevent excessive RPM. If your RX-7 engine is capable of exceeding 8,500 RPM you must install a transmission scatter shield, or ballistic blanket. Failure to implement the above may result in serious injury or even death.
